BURN...
The title fever symbolizes the feeling she has for a woman. The woman she loves was so perfect that she admires and hates her at the same time. She would often compare herself to her features and she would wake up fantasizing about her. Reminiscing every inch of her while touching herself as if she was touching that woman or being touched by her. I think the admiration she feels sometimes turns into hate because she might be insecure or maybe she doesn’t like the feeling she has for her. She is like a volcano waiting to explode. As the story progress and so is her feeling. It might have been hard for her to interpret her emotions. It is unusual to like someone with the same gender. I can’t imagine how hard to control something that is not normal in the society. In her eyes this woman is special. But if I was the woman in the bar I wouldn’t know. I would think that she was just another girl being nice to me. This story is very interesting that it made me question; how a lesbian starts relationship before? How do they initiate the emotions? Do they reveal who they really are? How do they fight the discrimination in the society? Today, it is much easier for the third sex to express and reveal who they are. In the web, chartrooms are made to find friends and love ones. Locations, like bars are made for them to meet and socialize with one another. You would also see lesbian couples freely expressing in public. Lesser discrimination in the society was being demonstrated and hopefully there would come a time that they will have equal rights with heterosexual couples.

In relation to my ojt
The story portrays a little about insecurity amongst women. In our workshop in drama for children, we help students to take out their insecurities from themselves and to other people. It shows them that each person is unique in so many ways. Also when it comes to acting, they are taught that small roles are as important as the big roles. The setting of the story is no different from the setting of theatre which is the stage. Bar has lots of people who dance, loud music and lights. In the stage, you are on the spotlight being watched by the crowd while performing. Imagination runs deep in the story which you also need in theatre arts. You have to visualize grand outcome for the performance but at the same time you have to be realistic. Never assume that you know everything in your training just by observation. You have to always ask, this lessen the confusion on the task given to you. It also helps you understand people who are very artistic. Let me tell you that sometimes due to the level of their artistry that the words coming out of their mouth are like abstract. Like what was said in the story, be bold and strike
